MNK assisted in the production of guidelines for El Paso Street that are used a resource to property owners, design professionals, contractors, etc. to help make informed decisions about applying general architectural principles to be considered in façade improvement | development. These guidelines offer a prescriptive solution for alterations to existing buildings that adhere to preserving architectural features, all while reigniting design solutions to help promote tourism in the El Paso Downtown area.
The guidebook includes design guidelines provided by the City and MNK provided an APPENDIX which includes illustrations of architectural styles and designs that could be appropriate for implementation into the downtown El Paso area. Photographic documentation of each building on El Paso Street is included along with guidance on designs that are intended to enhance and preserve the character of El Paso Street through maintenance and restoration of its architectural integrity.
