MNK was commissioned by EPCC to perform space programming and conceptual design services for the Student Services Center at the Valle Verde Campus in El Paso, Texas. MNK was responsible for organizing the program, touring and interviewing several departments, surveying existing conditions, revising floor plans, and meeting with facilities and planning departments to strategize our program. We prepared questionnaires for our initial meetings with the various department heads to assist in evaluating and summarizing our findings to EPCC Space Utilization Task Force. Our evaluations would assist the Task Force determine which departments throughout the campus would ultimately be relocated to the SSC. After reviewing our findings, we prepared preliminary layouts and recommendations for each of the occupants. A series of review meetings were held and a final conceptual/programming report was prepared. We also prepared a cost estimate which was based on the final conceptual/programming report.
