MNK was enlisted to design Famous Dave’s new location serving Far East El Paso, and crafted and modernized their new image. MNK’s architectural re-conceptualization has gone on to be adopted by Famous Dave’s locations nation-wide. The priority was to design a highly visible, easily identifiable landmark. The interior was designed to be open, providing direct access from the main entrance to various dining areas, such as the patio, the bar, the main dining hall or the line to order. Within the various seating areas, quiet and more private zones were created devoid of televisions and are shielded by privacy screens—allowing people to choose their preferred dining experience.
