In 2016, Tornillo ISD passed the first bond in over 10 years to bring a state-of-the-art athletic complex, and district-wide improvement to heating, cooling, roofing, and accessibility challenges. MNK planned the athletic facilities at Tornillo High School, which includes a new fieldhouse, turf football field, 8-lane post-tension track, 1,200 spectator seats, three-compartment press box, tennis courts. All these amenities are built around the lush desert landscape featuring the native Tornillo tree, a concession stand, park benches and tables.
